The Administrative Board met Tuesday, March 2, 2021, via Zoom to discuss re-opening of Wesley UMC for worship. Bishop McKee has lifted our mandatory church closure based on the positive trends in the community regarding COVID-19. The Board has made the decision to re-open for worship as of March 14, 2021 in the sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. Masks are always required for all people inside the building. Keep in mind social distancing is encouraged.
Sunday school classes will be permitted to meet in person beginning April 11, 2021. Each Sunday school class will need to determine when they want to meet in person. A leader in the class will need to contact Becky Breedlove when their class is ready to meet again to be assigned classroom space. May 1, 2021, Wesley UMC will open the facility for outside group usage.
Remote worship will continue to be available for those who wish to remain at home. The Administrative Board will continue to meet at regular intervals to ensure that the needs of our congregation are addressed.
