Wesley United Methodist Church at a Glance

Wesley is a grace-centered Christian home where you and your family can explore faith and Jesus Christ to grow with Him daily.

Our Beliefs

Our mission at Wesley United Methodist Church is to share the heart of Christ from the heart of Hunt County. We believe that God is love, and we are called to share that love through everything we do. We welcome, embrace, and affirm all people – and we mean all people!

In one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God is alive and active in our world, that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, and that the Holy Spirit dwells within us as our guide.

Every person needs God’s saving grace in their lives.

Salvation and redemption come through faith in Jesus Christ, not through anything we do ourselves.

All who put their trust in Jesus are made new.

In the power of scripture as the primary rule and guide for our lives.

We are part of Christ’s universal church with all fellow believers.

Holy Communion and Baptism are sacraments, through which God’s grace is received in particularly powerful ways.

These Beliefs, Held in Common With Other Christians All Over the World

are the foundation of our faith. They help us to understand who God is, how God works, and why we need God and his grace. They sustain us and remind us that we are God’s beloved and valued children. They guide us through how we are to respond to God’s word and how to act as people in God’s world.

Become a Member

Membership in our church is open to all people who believe in Jesus Christ and will uphold this church with their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. We accept new members by transfer from another United Methodist Church, transfer from another denomination, profession of faith and profession of faith and baptism.

Welcome to Wesley, an informal hour of sharing and discovering how to make Wesley your church home, is held on the second Sunday of each month at 5pm. Childcare is available.
