Kevin Banks: With things opening up more and more, the thing I am most excited about is the opportunity to start having in-person visits again with our Homebound members! While we have been making phone calls, writing cards and letters, doing some window and yard visits – even a Nursing Home Car Parade – there is nothing like having some one-on-one time in person with those we love and miss seeing. Our Homebound Team will be meeting soon to work on our plan to start doing in-person visits again and we could not be more excited!
Leslie Dick: Mark your calendars for July 19-22 and join us for Discovery On Adventure Island VBS. We will be on an exciting quest on the enchanted island to find four mysterious lanterns to help light our way. We will explore the ways God’s great light shines in the world, and shows us how we can reflect that light in our lives!
Arise! Shine! Your light has come: the LORD’S glory has shone upon you!
Jordan Cramer: I’m excited to have The Living Room back open to worshipping in person again. I am looking forward to seeing all your wonderful faces. It makes a difference when I can see the people who call Wesley their church home. And, even though we still have several months until we get to the Fall, I’m looking forward to what the fall is going to bring for not only The Living Room but for Adult Christian Education. We are working to bring you programs to connect with God, yourself, and with your neighbor. I have missed you all and looking forward to seeing you soon. Blessings to all, and remember that God is with you, always.
Jeff Cullen: Wesley Youth Connections is in full swing and appreciates all your prayers as we work towards a normal ending to an otherwise crazy year. We continue to be amazed and proud of the work our youth are doing, especially the 2021 Senior Class as they help to navigate us back to friendly shores. They have decided on a very special mission trip this year. We’ll be working on our district camp at Lake Pat Mayse. This year’s adventure will allow us to be as safe as possible. It will allow us to feel as normal as possible. And – it will allow us to make a difference for all youth in the East District of the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. Look for more information coming soon. May God Bless you all and again thank you for your prayers. Please keep them coming.
Dr. Brock Johnson: Calling all musicians out there! Have you ever wanted to sing in the choir, or play the bells, or play in an instrumental ensemble?! Dust off those voices and instruments and let me know how you want to get involved! The choir is currently meeting on ZOOM on Wednesdays at 7pm for fellowship and to talk about the virtual choir recordings that we make weekly. Send me an email ([email protected]) and come join us!
Natalie Pegg: It is time! Let’s reconnect Monday, April 26th @ 1pm in the sanctuary and get back to finding JOY in our JOURNEY. Mark your calendar so you are available to share in our time together.
